Carolina National Lacrosse is a CLUB-NEUTRAL travel lacrosse program that operates out of both North Carolina and South Carolina.
What does "club-neutral" mean? It means that Carolina National's purpose is to bring the best players from both states to compete at an extremely high level, but we try our very best not to interfere with local travel programs. We take the time to coordinate our schedule so our showcase events do not conflict with with the loyalty players poses towards their local programs. Local programs are the reason our players have built such great foundation skills and we idolize that. We bring an extra effort and boost to our player's recruit-ability.
With that being said, we try keeping our staff neutral as well. We want our players to gain as much lacrosse IQ from different areas of the game. We bring coaches in from around the state and even bring some high level players in to share their knowledge.
Our Showcase teams do not attend low recruit-ability showcases or tournaments. We structure our schedule so our teams play in front of as many college programs as possible. We don't lock ourselves in to tournament spots year after year. We like to adjust where we travel to compete at the highest level.
Our players are competitors. They want to play at the next level. So as teammates, our players all have the same goal in mind and that is to play efficient team lacrosse at a very high level.
Carolina National will host two combines centrally located to evaluate players and invite them to play for one of our teams. We can also consider a high school or club team coach's referral along with some game film.
As a showcase program that is club-neutral, we never want to compete for time with local travel programs. We structure our schedule around local clubs' tournaments! Local programs are the foundations that build players into who they are as competitors! But the truth is, not every player wants to play lacrosse at the next level. Not every local program has a roster complete of players who have similar goals or aspirations to play Division I, II, or III lacrosse. Here at Carolina National, we want to bring in like-minded players who are committed to their goals, have worked extremely hard to be the best in their area, and want to expose their abilities, in front of as many college coaches as possible.
Pricing is being calculated as we are planning our 2023 events. We are trying to keep the costs low so our athletes can afford to play for their local club team as well as a Carolina National team. We are currently considering 2 high level events in July that will make up the initial cost. We may also consider Games Days or Winter events. These will be added fees and announced as soon as we can.
YES. We encourage those who have faced an injury, recently moved schools, or have decided to do a post graduate year to come and play for our program. We will only increase your exposure.
We select our teams based on the ability for our players to compete at any level. Therefore, we believe the teams we form have a good sense of how to play with anyone wearing the same jersey as them. Most of our tournaments, we will host a walk-thru/practice the day/night before a showcase.
With our players coming from across two different states, it is unrealistic to host a two hour practice on a week-night or weekend day while local clubs are traveling or practicing. With that being said, we know our players aren't sitting around! They are constantly working on the fundamentals and competing. With that built in preparation, our pre-competition walk-thru allows players to come together with their coaching staff and tweak the minor details before playing together.
