Carolina National the Beginning

The Carolina National lacrosse program was started in December 2017 by Mark Goldsmith and Scott Olive. After achieving much success at a national level through the National Lacrosse Classic it was a unanimous hope of the players, parents and coaches to represent Carolina at other high level tournaments to compete with the best  teams in the county.

Mark and Scott both grew up in Levittown NY before moving to Carolina. Currently they coach and run separate lacrosse organizations in different regions of the state. It is their plan to unite all of Carolina and draw the best players from the Triad, Triangle, Charlotte, South Carolina and the Coastal area of the state. They believe in order to collect the best players they need to work conjointly with representatives from the other regions of Carolina to best represent the state

Carolina Takes Silver

image5

With only 1 practice and 1 exhibition game of playing together Carolina National was able to take the 2nd place medal at the Dick's National tournament in December of 2018. Their championship loss was to a very strong Resolute team from Ohio. Resolute was all NCAA committed seniors, while Carolina had 5 committed seniors and the balance of the team juniors and sophomores. The success of the team can be attributed to the unselfish team play, ball movement and of course great coaching.
